Wine Bottle

Much opposed to my usual chaotic design style, this "wine bottle project" was from a Typography class back in semester 3 and was more so directed towards a very elegant and sophisticated style. The goal was to create two wine bottles, each of a different flavor, and a motion graphic ad to showcase them which has since then been uploaded to YouTube.

Process

First, I had started with a couple of rapid sketches to outline a few ideas. For the most part, each design centered around very swirly or flow-ey shapes like rivers, wood grain or the hair of a woman gusted by a breeze. In the end, I went with the simple of choice of picking one of the river designs but played with a golden color scheme and unique texture to push forward that elegant design.

The video half of this project was much harder in comparison, I had never done something similar to it before but I quickly wrote up a quick storyboard and got to animating. Now, motion graphics is one of my favorite skills, I'd say though.
